Meghan’s just as sweet as she is beautiful and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be designing her awesome SOHO apartment. Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we post before shots and our initial idea boards. It’s sure to be interesting. We can wait to get started and know this is going to be a really fun collaboration!

We've been hard at work and having lots of fun planning Meghan Asha's apartment. Stay tuned next week as we're planning to reveal the floor plan and design board for her entryway and living room. In the meantime, here's a bit of a teaser. We found Meghan's perfect couch (perfect for the space and perfect for her budget) at Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams. But we also fell hard for the boho/glam vibe of these ikat slipper chairs and this slender retro inspired lamp. If you like them too check out MG+BW's storewide sale on August 2. 
Amy Lau wowed at this year's Kips Bay Showhouse with her dramatic stairwell. No easy feat, the time and craftsmanship that went into the design must have been immense. We love how easy and affordable it would be to imitate her vision with Umbra's 3D Wallflower Wall Decor. Simply hammer tacks into the wall and the magnetized buds stick in place. Genius!
After it's January 2008 Maison et Objet debut, Patricia Urquiola's Re-Trouve outdoor collection was at the top of practically every editor's to-die-for list. People at the Paris showcase were in love with the vintage-esque wire frames (a breath of fresh air against all the heavy wood designs), the variety of vibrant colors, and the varying scale (check out that super cool high-back). The only downside? The wait for the fab line to make it state-side has seemed endless. Thankfully, at long last, that day has arrived. It's here!
Depending on who you ask, Miami Beach owes a lot to Morris Lapidus. Throughout the midcentury, the prolific architect left his mark on the oceanside destination in a major way with his many large hotel designs. Dramatic, curvaceous and frequented by the likes of Hollywood royalty and international socialites, the hotels often featured one of a kind furnishings. Until recently none of these were available to the public, but now through Dennis Miller' showroom, designers can source a small collection based on original creations. We're wild about the Ocean Bench and would love to see it in a formal living room or a sleek dressing space. Can't you just picture Audrey Hepburn perched on one end sipping champagne while coyly gazing at a debonair man on the other side?

A combination of laser-cut and top-stitched felts and wools form Hella Jongerius' incredible Layers Collection for Maharam. We love the design's complexity and detail, from the methodical embroidery to the precise cut of the fabric. Almost quilt-like in composition, the collection marries an old time aesthetic with a throughly modern vibe. Using the technology employed in canoe design, Kevin Walz crafts his walnut furniture for Ralph Pucci from multiple layers of wood laminates and carbon fibers. His luminescent creations are paper-thin, light weight and truly beautiful. 
Marrying fashion with home design, Trina Turk's outdoor fabric for Schumacher features bold graphics and vibrant colors inspired by her apparel line and Southern Californian architecture and landscape. Upholstering this chair in Santorini and accenting it with a pillow in Super Paradise breathes Palm Beach-cool into this patio space. As the weather warms and everyone's dying to get outside, we'd love to be able to incoporate this collection into your summer life. 
Brooklyn artist Sarah Cihat both reuses and invents. We love her Rehabilitated Dishware line, which recycles thrift store china with new glazes and images, as well as DIRT her edgy line of hand-cast porcelain pieces.
True, Hable Construction is yet another fellow Brooklyn-based company, but that's not the only reason we're drawn to their canvas and cotton/linen textiles. We're big fans of a number of their creations and we'd be quite happy to use their brand new pattern, Ink Trellis, as a graphic floral element in one of our designs.

We haven't used the first person on this blog very much, but today's favorite thing post calls for it.....sorry Ariane. The other day while working in Ariane's loft, otherwise known as the A&J Interiors office, I noticed this amazing colander stashed high away on a shelf. After listening to my demands Ariane took it down and nonchalantly mentioned she made the stoneware vessel. Then thinking nothing of it she gave it to me. I was blown away by the amazing symmetry of the craftmanship, the organic composition and the beautiful turquoise glaze. It's now my favorite thing. I love it and haven't been able to make myself use it yet, instead it sits as art in my bedroom as a reminder that I'm so lucky to have an artist as a partner:)
We dig the Cote d'Azur vibe of Wayne Pate's graphic art including this funky creation, Earthly Delights. Available through his company Good Shape Design, the illustrations are silk screened on a variety of products including everything from tea towels to totes.
These days it seems there's nothing more luxurious than the beauty found in natural resources, which is why we're in awe of Dallas-designer Jan Showers' Mies lamp. Made of Honeycomb Calcite this brilliant yellow creation would work great as a dramatic focal point in any space from modern to traditional.
As soon as Ittala introduced the Taika Collection it was an instant classic. The white and blue designs sold out in many stores and became an in-the-know bridal registry favorite over night. What most people don't know is that for the holidays Ittala introduced a special edition red design, which is available only until the 28th of February. 
We're wild about Philippe Starck's deceivingly simple Louis Ghost Chair for Kartell. The contemporary classic is particularly alluring in an austere black finish.
